Your Vote, your Choice

“Your Vote, your choice” was a national action started by Stowarzyszenie Szkoła Liderów and Batory Foundation. The main aim of the action was to encourage people to vote in the coming local election and to provoke a public debate on local problems and their possible solutions.

Our action was supposed to help people make a right decision during the local election of 2006. We consider a right decision as such decision which was made after deep thinking, questions asked and answered. We wanted people to choose authorities which will not be indifferent to social problems of our region.

Happening in Staszow- first discussions about local problems and the importance of participating in the local elections.
August 2006

The attendance in local election of the year 2006 was a record – 45% for the country. In Świętokrzyskie District it was 50.1%, in Staszów region frequency was the highest – 57.24% and in the nearest neighborhood od Staszów – 56.12%.

Conference about local government and civic participation in public life.

Our Foundation organized a happening, public debates, surveys, poster promotion and a conference on self-government. All the activities were one of a kind in the Staszow region.
